TERMS (Updated COVID-19 Procedure)
Schedule of Services (Updated COVID-19 Procedure):
CC Student Storage offers packing, pick up/delivery, storage and shipping services to students at Connecticut College. Due to COVID-19, our Terms have changed slightly so please carefully read through each section before registering for our service.
The student may select either the “Summer Storage” term, “Fall Semester Abroad Storage” term, or "I am not storing my items, please ship them to me." during registration. The “Summer” term includes the months of April (free), May, June, July, and August. The student will be billed $50.00 per month for four (4) months of storage. The “Fall Semester Abroad” term includes the “Summer” term plus the months of September, October, November, December, and January. The student will be billed $50.00 per month for nine (9) months of storage. If the student selects "I am not storing my items, please ship them to me.", then CC Student Storage will ship their items to the shipping address on file.
All boxes and Specialty Items will be picked up from the student's current dorm room on Friday, March 27th. Please leave all boxes and Specialty Items in student's dorm room before departing from campus.
It is the student’s responsibility to have all their boxes and Specialty Items ready for pick up. If the student’s boxes and Specialty Items are not ready for pick up, then they will NOT be picked up or stored. No refunds for CC Student Storage services will be processed.
Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, CC Student Storage cannot guarantee any delivery dates. CC Student Storage will follow the rules set by Connecticut College regarding move-in dates and notify you as soon as possible.
The student cannot collect their boxes or Specialty Items before the specified delivery day. CC Student Storage will not deliver any boxes or Specialty Items back to campus before the specified delivery day. All boxes and Specialty Items are secured in CC Student Storage’s facility throughout the duration of the student’s selected storage term. No one will not be granted access to CC Student Storage’s facility at any time to retrieve boxes or Specialty Items.
Rules (Updated COVID-19 Procedure):
You must register online by Sunday, March 15th while supplies last. All sales are final. No refunds for CC Student Storage services will be processed.
CC Student Storage considers any durable cardboard box, tote, chest, crate or strong plastic container as a “box.” The student may store unlimited boxes during their selected storage term. If a box is damaged and/or not properly sealed, CC Student Storage will consider it as a Specialty Item.
CC Student Storage considers any item that cannot fit inside of a box, such as a couch, bag, suitcase with wheels, mini fridge, rug, plastic drawer, lamp, or T.V. as a “Specialty Item.” The student will be billed a one-time payment of $15.00 per Specialty Item stored. CC Student Storage reserves the right to determine which of the student’s belongings are Specialty Items. Upon pick up, if a Speciality Item was not included in the student's initial registration form, the student will be subject to a $30.00 service fee to store that Speciality Item. No boxes or Speciality Items will be returned until the $30.00 service fee is paid in full.
It is the student’s responsibility to properly label their boxes and Specialty Items with their first name, last name, and FUTURE dorm room. If the student does not wish to write directly on their boxes or Specialty Items, the student must attach duct tape with the information written on it or a pre-made name tag. If the student’s boxes and Specialty Items are not properly labeled, they will NOT be picked up or stored. No refunds for our services will be processed.
The student's FUTURE dorm room is the dorm room that they will be living in when they arrive back to campus after their selected storage term. If their FUTURE dorm room has not been assigned before registration, they may leave that field blank in the checkout form.
If their FUTURE dorm room has not been assigned before their selected pick up day, they are not required to label their boxes or Specialty Items with their FUTURE dorm room. However, it is the student’s responsibility to provide CC Student Storage with their FUTURE dorm room as soon as they are made aware of it.
Payment/Invoices (Updated COVID-19 Procedure):
Due to COVID-19 and the unexpected close of College housing, CC Student Storage will be waiving the $50.00 monthly storage fee for the month of April as a courtesy to all students effected by this inconvenience.
Payment is due upon registration. We do not offer a monthly payment plan.

The student accepts full responsibility and liability for any damages or losses that result from failure to adhere to these restrictions.
Each item stored with CC Student Storage is insured for $1,000. Insurance is in effect from the time of pick up until the time the items are delivered back to the student. The student recognizes that only loss or damage caused by the negligence of CC Student Storage will be covered by the insurance policy. Only physical damage to the exterior of the item at the time of delivery will qualify for an insurance claim.
This agreement is accepted subject to delays or damages caused by the elements, street traffic, elevator service, acts of God, or any other causes beyond the control of CC Student Storage. CC Student Storage is not responsible for the electrical or mechanical functioning of any items. CC Student Storage is not responsible for damages caused by deterioration, rust, changes in temperature, insects or other causes outside the control of CC Student Storage. Before making an insurance claim with CC Student Storage, the student must exhaust any applicable personal insurance policies. To initiate an insurance claim, the student must request a claim form from CC Student Storage. If CC Student Storage determines that a claim is valid, we will pay the student the lowest of the following: the cost of replacing or fixing the item or the amount of insurance on the item.
The student waives any claims for loss or damage of any item against CC Student Storage and its employees for any reason except those specifically stated in this Agreement. The student releases liability from CC Student Storage and its employees and agents to be held accountable for any and all costs of processing claims or defending any claim arising from this Agreement. The student waives the right to hold CC Student Storage to any laws or standards governing professional moving, storage, or common carrier companies. A written amendment signed by both parties (CC Student Storage and the student) may only amend this Agreement.
